Writer’s Block?

Wednesday, November 12 Have you ever had extended writer’s block? How long did it last? What did you do to break out of it, and do you have tips for other bloggers?

I have tried blogging so many times before, and I’ve always failed. Maybe it’s because I didn’t learn “how to do it”, or maybe it was fear of what others would think of my posts and my blog in general. Many times I couldn’t decide what to write about. I don’t consider that writer’s block though because I had lots of ideas they just seemed all over the place, or that’s what I expected others to perceive.

The Blogging U classes from WordPress and NaBloPoMo challenges have been very helpful it forcing me to just do it. So far none of my posts make logical sense, but it doesn’t matter. There are a lot of us that are just doing it! I’m proud of myself so far, and I’m proud of my new blogging friends.

Let’s all keep up the great work! Now to get my camera out and catch up on my Photography 101 assignments this week. 🙂

  1. Writers block can put a damper on things for sure. The last time it hit me I picked up my camera and haven’t put it down since then. My blog morphed as a result. Now I’m writing ooerty. It’s been interesting, hang in there.

  2. I think I’ve just grown tired of worrying what others will think. I already know I’m going to offend certain people, who shall remain nameless. I just have to be considerate and tactful. If others choose to interpret alternative meanings to my word choices then that is their problem. Life is too short to fight those battles.

  3. Last week I seemed to suffer from writers block and found that changing my writing environment helped me. It was as simple as taking the laptop and sitting outside at a local coffee shop. This week I suffer from the analysis of paralysis. So much to say and far to critical to post anything. At this point I am just trying to remember that this whole process was about creating a blogging habit and i need to just do it! Keep it up Lanah!

Hey there, I found you via the NaBloPoMo blogroll.

I am struggling a little with this at the moment. I was in a routine and things were going well. Then my laptop broke, and I was without a computer for a couple of weeks. Now I have a new computer and am getting to know it, so my Breaking Bad Rewatch blog is only scheduled a week in advance, I like to be two or four weeks ahead.. 🙂 Good thing I do schedule ahead otherwise both my blogs would have been a bit quiet..

I really do not feel like writing BB posts at the moment. They are a fair bit of work, and I wish a work fairy would appear and magically do them for me. 🙂

As part of NaBloPoMo I try to comment on as many participating blogs as I can, and I also add participating blogs to my feed reader.

So I’m just dropping by to let you know I’ve added your blog to my feedreader, I’m reading you loud and clear, I have a link up going at my place so my readers can find participating blogs which you are more than welcome to add your blog link to.

Looking forward to seeing your posts, and you’ll likely see me drop by again during November.

    Happy NaBloPoMo to you!

    • Thank you for stopping by, and for following me. I’ve been a set the last few days but hope to get back in the swing of things and caught up soon myself. 🙂

    • I enjoy reading others blogs too, it seems I find wonderful inspiration from my blogging friends. 🙂 I’ve gotta catch up with some of our tasks from this week too, tomorrow may be a hectic blogging day for me. 🙂
